THF has provided safe drinking water and hygienic toilets to more than a thousand people so far, and has built two public toilets in the old city area. THF works closely with the local communities, usually organized via the official Neighbourhood (or Village) Committees. The communities are involved in every aspect of a programme, from the early planning, to implementation and later maintenance. Regular hygiene education (pictured above) and community meetings are part of the project routine.
Indicator: most THF projects were started upon request by residents' and villagers' self-help groups.
