Revival of Traditional Skills
Tibetan traditional crafts and technical skills, passed on from one generation to the next, were highly developed in the past. Economic factors and historical events have caused a recent decline in the transmission of these skills.
THF revived many of the traditional techniques and skills, and cautiously introduces new ones where appropriate. Interregional exchange of skills and experience is being promoted by THF, and regular links of exchange with Shanghai, Hong Kong, Kathmandu, Bangkok as well as with European academic institutions have been established.
