On June 12 the exhibition entitled "Petroglyphs of Ladakh: The Withering Monuments" opened in Lala's Gallery in Leh. Lala's is the Leh Heritage House renovated and operated by THF.
Tashi Dawa, a native of Leh, has documented and studied the forgotten rock art of Ladakh for over 12 years. According to his findings, many different cultures have left their traces in these patinated rock carvings, and they may date to early and even prehistoric times.
