We are proud to present the relaunch of the archive
database with dynamic functions: now its possible to search for particular
entries, persons, building types and so on. It is possible to sort
the results by any parameter.
Furthermore there is the new 'show on map' function that allows to
locate the database entry on the corresponding flash map (currently,
this feature works on Windows with Internet Explorer only). The programming
work was done by Stephan Köller (Thanks a lot) and Moritz Wermelskirch.

There are brief reports of the works, carried out by THF at the
time in China, Mongolia and India.
We finished restauration work of the Beri Monastery in Kham in the
province of Sichuan in 2003. The full report will follow. Read
the short introduction here.
In Beijing, where we maintain an office since 2000, we started a
rehabilitation and conversion project for the old town quarters,
called 'Hutong' in collaboration with the School of Architecture
of Tsinghua University. Read
the introduction here.
In 2002 we were invited by a Mongolian NGO and Parliament Members
to consult on the rehabilitation of a number of historic sites.
Meanwhile, the restauration work has started. Read
the introduction here.
The main work at the moment is carried out in Ladakh in India. André
Alexander conducted a documentation of 100 old buildings in Leh,
the capital of Ladakh. You can find them in the database (see above)
now. Alexander and Wermelskirch worked on a interactive map similar
to these of Lhasa and Shoel. It is connected to the database.
