We are proud to present the relaunch of the archive database with dynamic functions: now its possible to search for particular entries, persons, building types and so on. It is possible to sort the results by any parameter.
Furthermore there is the new 'show on map' function that allows to locate the database entry on the corresponding flash map (currently, this feature works on Windows with Internet Explorer only). The programming work was done by Stephan Köller (Thanks a lot) and Moritz Wermelskirch. See the dynamic database

There are brief reports of the works, carried out by THF at the time in China, Mongolia and India.
We finished restauration work of the Beri Monastery in Kham in the province of Sichuan in 2003. The full report will follow. Read the short introduction here.
In Beijing, where we maintain an office since 2000, we started a rehabilitation and conversion project for the old town quarters, called 'Hutong' in collaboration with the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University. Read the introduction here.
In 2002 we were invited by a Mongolian NGO and Parliament Members to consult on the rehabilitation of a number of historic sites. Meanwhile, the restauration work has started. Read the introduction here.
The main work at the moment is carried out in Ladakh in India. André Alexander conducted a documentation of 100 old buildings in Leh, the capital of Ladakh. You can find them in the database (see above) now. Alexander and Wermelskirch worked on a interactive map similar to these of Lhasa and Shoel. It is connected to the database.
