News and Update

Since March 2002, many traditional and historic buildings in Lhasa are being demolished for re-development, especially along the Mentsikhang Street and Beijing East Road. This will profoundly alter the character of the old part of Lhasa. The Barkor Street Area will apparently be preserved. Watch this space for further updates.
