Sanitation Work at the Jokhang


Several truckloads of accumulated soil and dirt were excavated from the Jokhang Temple's Lutshang courtyard.The old drainage system no longer worked, and water infiltrated the Jokhang's foundation walls. The drainage was unblocked and upgraded.

THF workers unblock the drains of the Jokhang Temple's Nangkor pilgrim route.

 

New Jokhang Temple Toilets. This new building houses two toilets and hand-washing sinks for Jokhang monks and visitors, built in the now cleaned-up Lutshang courtyard.
