From November 26 to 30, THF's first chairman André Alexander teaches a compact course on Tibetan (and Ladakhi) architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, Berlin University of Technology. This is perhaps the first course on Tibetan Architecture at university level. The course will focus on cultural, religious, geographical and climatic aspects of Tibetan architecture, and also on the changes in society that affected all Himalayan regions diffused with Tibetan culture, and how these changes present new demands for sustainable building and heritage management.
