Professor Maew Pean and a group of Thai artists from the Faculty of architecture, Silpakorn University in Bangkok cooperated with Tibet Heritage Fund in 2014 to study the historic fabric of the Leh Old Town. As the outcome, the artwork of six Thailand artists ‘Leh’s Heritage Life’ was exhibited in Lala’s gallery. The artists using their own techniques and style, painted Leh Old Town houses and landscape to raise attention to the unique architecture and charm of Leh. Many people attended the opening and discussed the Old Town with the artists. From their paintings, original postcards were made and are now available at Lala’s café.
