Leh artisans continue work on the Red Maitreya TemplePlanned for this year are further infrastructure improvements in the old town, conservation of mural paintings in the Red Maitreya Temple (north wall), conservation of a 17th century mosque and work on residential buildings. Two Ladakhis from our mural conservation training program will travel to Germany for a two-month study at Erfurt University of Applied Sciences. To celebrate arrivals and departures we held a party in the Sankar house with the Ladakhi artisans and residents of the old town.
